To grow.<\/p>\n<p>Whether it`s business or personal life, we tend to overextend our presence in others\u2019 lives &#8211; constantly guiding, correcting, nudging. It might come from a place of care or experience, but too much of it can turn from mentoring into micromanaging. It creates a sense of emotional claustrophobia &#8211; a suffocating feeling that one\u2019s freedom is being caged, even by well-wishers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In Business<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As leaders, we hire smart people. But do we trust them enough to explore, experiment, and evolve? When we hover over every move, approve every decision, or rework every plan, we unknowingly rob them of ownership. Innovation thrives in space &#8211; not in pressure chambers.<\/p>\n<p>Giving your team space doesn\u2019t mean disconnecting &#8211; it means empowering. It\u2019s about setting clear goals, sharing the bigger picture, and then stepping back. Let them try. Let them fail. Let them find their way. That\u2019s how leaders are built. That\u2019s how businesses scale.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In Life<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At home or among friends, the same principle holds. Constantly advising loved ones, even with the best intentions, can feel overwhelming. Every individual has their own rhythm, their own path. Real love is not about walking the path for them &#8211; it\u2019s about walking beside them, while allowing them the freedom to choose their own direction.<\/p>\n<p>Giving space is a sign of respect. It shows you trust their journey. And in that space, relationships mature, communication deepens, and emotional bonds become stronger.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Balance<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Giving space is not the absence of care &#8211; it is care with wisdom. It`s not neglect &#8211; it\u2019s nurturing from a distance. The best leaders, the best parents, the best friends &#8211; know when to lean in and when to step back.<\/p>\n<p>In my own journey as an entrepreneur, I\u2019ve realized the power of creating this space &#8211; for my team, my family, and most importantly, for myself.
