Gold prices in Chennai have witnessed a sharp rise today after falling continuously over the past few days. The sudden increase has brought relief to investors and created renewed interest among jewellery buyers tracking daily market movements.<\/p>\n

According to the latest market update, the price of\u00a022-carat gold<\/strong>\u00a0in Chennai has increased by\u00a0\u20b92,160 per sovereign<\/strong>, taking the rate to\u00a0\u20b91,16,000 per sovereign (8 grams)<\/strong>. The price per gram has also gone up by\u00a0\u20b9270<\/strong>, with gold currently selling at\u00a0\u20b914,500 per gram<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In recent days, gold prices had shown a declining trend. On February 16, one sovereign was priced at\u00a0\u20b91,15,520<\/strong>, which dropped to\u00a0\u20b91,14,560<\/strong>\u00a0on\u00a0February 17<\/strong>\u00a0and further to\u00a0\u20b91,13,840 on February 18<\/strong>. Today\u2019s sharp rise marks a strong reversal in the short-term market trend.<\/p>\n

Silver prices have also increased alongside gold. The price of silver has risen by\u00a0\u20b910 per gram<\/strong>, with one gram now selling at\u00a0\u20b9270<\/strong>, while bar silver is priced at\u00a0\u20b92,70,000<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
