Gold prices in Chennai have recorded a sharp decline today after fluctuating over the past few days. The price of\u00a022-carat gold<\/strong>\u00a0jewellery has fallen significantly in the city\u2019s bullion market.<\/p>\n

Today, the price of gold per sovereign (8 grams) has\u00a0decreased by<\/strong>\u00a0\u20b91,120<\/strong>, bringing the rate down to\u00a0\u20b91,18,080<\/strong>. The price per gram of gold has also\u00a0dropped by \u20b9140<\/strong>, and it is currently being sold at \u20b914,760 per gram.<\/p>\n

In the previous trading session, gold was sold at around\u00a0\u20b91,19,200 per sovereign<\/strong>, after a smaller decline of\u00a0\u20b9560<\/strong>. The\u00a0per-gram price<\/strong>\u00a0stood at\u00a0\u20b914,900<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Silver prices have also shown minor fluctuations in the market. Earlier, silver prices dropped by\u00a0\u20b910 per gram<\/strong>, reaching\u00a0\u20b9280 per gram<\/strong>, while bar silver was sold at around\u00a0\u20b92,80,000<\/strong>. In the latest update, silver prices remain steady at around \u20b9290 per gram, with bar silver priced at about\u00a0\u20b92,90,000<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
